This open letter reminds me that syfy waxes and wanes on their family friendly offerings. My two youngest children are hooked on syfysfaceoff. If I’m not careful I find my kit ransacked, and two girls with the result of their attempts of creating a beauty makeup in the form of powder white faces, crooked false eye lashes, drawn on jagged eyebrows, glittery zombie eyelids (want to be smokey eye), Maleficent-style contoured cheekbones, and ALWAYS red lips. I miss the days of SG1, Eureka, MST3K and Early Edition; however, I do have high hopes for The Almighty Johnsons. Until then we’ll enjoy BBCA reruns of STTNG, Sliders on demand, and await The (New) Doctor Who’s season 8 return in August.
